The "man" of the group is Florian Benedum.

He`s 15 years old and lives in K-Town. His

hobbies are playing soccer. He also a referee.

Florian is very good at geography, so he planned

our sight-seeing tour.

Another member of the group is

Ramona Jung. She`s also 15 years

old and lives in a small village near

K-Town, called Schopp. Her hobbies

are playing in a band an having fun

with her friends. She helped Florian to

organise the tour.

There`s also Verena Meyer. She`s old

as the others and lives in the same village

as Ramona. Her hobbies are playing

basketball and meeting her friends. She

choose the hotel and booked the flight.

Last but not least there`s Jenny

Redmann. She`s 16 years old

and lives in K-Town. In her free-

time she plays basketball in the

same team as Verena and meets

friends. Together with Verena,

she booked the flight and the

hotel.

A long time before the journey started, we sat together and talked about how to arrive at Washington D.C. We planned to get to the airport in our parents´car. We arrived in Frankfurt at 11 am, searched for the airline, checked in and left the luggage. After saying "Goodbye" to our parents we entered the plane. Our flight was at 12.35 pm with Lufthansa and we arrived in Washington D.C. at 3.10 pm American time. The flight cost 744 DM per person. We got to the hotel by shuttle bus which is organised by our airline. An hour later, we arrived at the hotel.

That`s how we planned the tour.

Our hotel is in the middle of Washington, in the Georgetown area. It`s called "Georgetown Suites". It`s situated in a shopping and the restaurant area. In our room there is cable TV, radio, alarmclock, hairdryer, kitchen and phone and voicemail. The offers a gym, an atrium lobby and complimentary brekfast. But the best thing is, there`s a health club so we can relax a lot. Our Suite has two beds and a kitchen, a bathroom and two couches.

Our journey ended on October 29^th,1999. At 4pm we drove to the airport by taxi. There we checked in. After that, we left the luggage and waited for the plane. Our flight was at 5.20pm. We arrived in Germany/Frankfurt at 8pm German time. After fetching our luggage, we leoked for our parents. They took us home to K-Town. Surely we will report our whole journey. It was really exciting!

me and three friends plan to make a trip to Washington D.C.! We would like to stay at your hotel for seven nights. If it`s possible we would like to have a reservation of two suites, each for persons. We arrive on October 22^nd and leave on October 29^th,1999. To be3 able to proceed planning the trip, we would be pleased, if you sent us some prospects with more information about the hotel, the activities and the prices.

On the first day after arriving in Washington, we stayed in the hotel and relaxed. It was a hard trip, so we were all tired.

On the second day we woke up at 8am. After a good breakfast in our hotel we went by taxi to the White House. The White House is the oldest public building in Washington. It was built in 1792 by Pierre L`Enfant. Every president has lived there except George Washington. Until 1848 the White House had no running water and gas lamps were only installed in 1848.

We took the guiding tour from 11am to 11.20am. After that, we drove by taxi to the city center. There we went to have lunch in a nice little restaurant. The we went shopping. Florian was really angry because we - the three girls stayed to long in every shop.

In the evening, we went back to the hotel because again it had been a hard day.

On the third day we slept a long time. After taking a hot shower, everybody was very hungry. So we had breakfast in the hotel.

In the afternoon Florian had the idea to visit the Capitol. He is very interested in sights especially in the Capitol, the home of the House Of Representatives and the Senate. It`s the place where Congress meets.

The dome of the Capitol was completed in 1863. This was some information Florian save us.

After having an exciting guiding tour through the Capitol, we went back to the hotel where we went to the pool and had a drink.

On this day we had a picnic in the Mall. The Mall is known as the city`s playground. Many lawns and walkways surrounds the museums and monuments. Every year there`s a big market where people can buy and sell their things. The Mall was planned by Pierre L`Enfant, Andrew Jackson-Downing and Governor Alexander Shepherd. It`s the popular place for demonstrations like Martin Luther King`s protest march in 1963. In the evening we had dinner in a fine restaurant.

On that day, we woke up and celebrated Jenny’s birthday. We had the finest breakfast we had ever seen. <jenny was so happy that she smiled all the time. The present for her was a boy of the famous "Chippendales" in a box. He made a beautiful strip fo us. Florian was very angry, because there wwas no woman for him. It was very funny. In the evening we went to the biggest disco in Washington. We celebrated big time and in the night we were so drunk that Floriasn had to take us back to the Hotel. He was very angry again. After that we three girls were very happy to have Florian with us, because he was the guardian angle for us.

The next day we were still tired from the long party night. We sat in the pool bar and drank juice all the time. Because we were so thirsty.

In the evening we went on a boat trip on the Potomac River. We relaxed during the whole trip. Jenny fell asleep. The party night has been too much for her.

After the boat trip, we went back to the hotel, because we all felt seasick.

On that day, we had to pack our things. We stood up early in the morning.

At the end of our holiday, we had a fine dinner in the restaurant of the hptel.We spoke about the beautiful time we had had in Washington. At 4pm, we went bz taxi to the airpoort, becaue our flight was at 5.20 pm.
